Heroes Episodes Online Free
Heroes, created by Tim Kring, first premiered on NBC in September, 2006, and is a science fiction drama series on television. Heroes is a story of a group of ordinary people who find that they each have some type of superhuman abilities. It follows the way in which these abilities affect the character’s lives and actions. The television show is made of many short, multi-episode stories within each episode that work together to build a large overall story, much like the style of American comic books.
Heroes is mostly filmed in Los Angeles, California and has been on air for four seasons. The fourth season will be ending this month, in February 2010. It is produced by Universal Media Studios and has received a higher rating than any other premier drama on NBC in five years. The first season, which was 23 episodes long, held an average of 14.3 million viewers in the United States alone throughout the entire season. The most viewers they received at any one point was during episode nine, which had 16.03 million viewers. Producers of Heroes are Aron Eli Coleite and Lori Motyer. The show’s co-producer is Cathy Mickel Gibson.
The American Film Institute named Heroes one of the ten best television programs of the year after just its first season. It received critical acclaim and positive reviews after its premier season. In reviews it was often compared to Lost, its primetime series counterpart. Ratings and reviews went down after the second season however, as Heroes was criticized for having a much slower pace and being less engaging.
The viewer average dropped during the second season to 13.1 million, but despite the drop and a few negative reviews, Heroes was still NBC’s only program ranked in the top 20 total viewers for 2007-2008.
Heroes has won and been nominated for many different awards at the Emmy’s, Golden Globes, People’s Choice Awards, and even the British Academy Television Awards. They were nominated “best new series” in 2007 at the Writer’s Guild of American awards.
Heroes Evolutions is a digital-internet extension which was made to give viewers an understanding of the mythologies that pertain to the show. Viewers can find and purchase clothing, books, mobile games, interactive software, figurines, and magazines at the Heroes website.
Heroes was primarily supposed to have an ever-changing cast rather than a cast full of recurring roles and returning actors and actresses, but after the first season the original cast was so popular with the viewing audience that most of them returned for the second season. Heroes had the third largest cast of any primetime series or show with twelve main characters.
The latest season, season four, has the lowest ratings of any season so far, with only 5.9 million viewers. Even with the low ratings, creator and executive producer Tim Kring is expecting a fifth season. Many insiders in the media world are not so confident about Heroes future, with speculation that NBC might cancel the series after the fourth season.
